Det klassiska skivbolaget Island Records (Universal) med artister som Amy Winehouse, U2, Keane, Mika skriver avtal med Artist Company TEN för att lansera Erik Hassle i hela världen utom Sverige (där Roxy Recordings har licensrätten). Tjugoåringen från Katrineholm kommer att bli en av de största satsningarna från Island Records på senare år.
Första singeln släpps i England under sommaren och i Sverige är debutsingeln ”Hurtful” nu en av de 20 mest spelade låtarna på radio.
